After spending quite some time fawning over the Guerlain Perles du Dragon Meteorites, I think it’s about time to showcase another gem from their latest Liu collection for Holiday 2012. Meet Lou-Ling, people. Guerlain has been feeling the Oriental love this season and have dressed the collection with a generous dose of golds and reds.

Truth be told, when the Guerlain Rouge Automatique range of lipsticks first came out, I wasn’t quite impressed with them. I thought the packaging was rather gimmicky and lacked the class that Guerlain is usually associated with. Also, I was a little afraid that the sliding mechanism would fail me one day and that my beautiful lipstick would be all smooshed up.

I was going through my blog archives the other day and realised I have not done a nail post in a while. I was just waiting for Chanel to bring in their Holiday 2012 collection and immediately jumped on the Le Vernis in Malice.

revlon just bitten

The last time I went completely bonkers over a lipstick release was due to Revlon. Do you remember the Lip Butters and how the world went little nuts? Well, Revlon has done it again! I hardly ever get Chanel Joues Contraste blushes as most of the ones available here are the European baked versions. These baked blushes have a harder texture and can sometimes be difficult to blend. Over time, it tends to get really difficult to get any colour off the pan so I have more or less been avoiding baked blushes.

In the past year however, Chanel has been releasing several pressed blush versions locally and I previously picked up Fleur de Lotus earlier this year. Well, some months back I got Tumulte as well but I forgot to review it.

How on earth did I forget about this blush? It is such a beautiful pink thing! Tumulte came out prior to Summer this year together with Malice and a re-released Pink Explosion.

I think most of us will agree that Dior’s Grand Bal collection is absolutely beautiful this season. Together with this collection, Dior released two lovely eyeshadow quints and today, we will be looking at Fairy Golds.

Shiny golds seem to be really trendy this fall and I have been rather drawn to it. Strangely enough, I used to stay away from most gold makeup until I started discovering golds that are not too warm or yellow on me. The Fairy Golds palette is what I would call a neutral collection of shades, which complement each other very well.
