It has been more than a year since I last got an Illusion D’Ombre but when Chanel released the Holiday 2013 collection, I knew Fatal will eventually come home with me. I purchased this in January (thankfully, the Chanel counter in Parkson still had it) and have been using it quite regularly since.

Fatal is a bronzey-plum with silver shimmer and has a softly metallic finish. Illusion D’Ombre has a very unique mousse-spongey texture that is really interesting and unlike any other cream pot shadows. It applies very smoothly across the lids and the intensity can be built if you need a stronger colour.

I usually prep my eyelids with a primer first before applying to enhance its longevity. It works well without a primer but is prone to slight creasing on me. I like wearing it alone with just a black winged liner during work days.

My Illusion D’Ombre stash consists of shades that were released in seasonal collections and I am not sure why I have not picked up any from the permanent range. I think it’s because each pot is rather expensive and I would like to make sure that it warrants a special purchase.

Unfortunately I am not certain if the Chanel Illusion D’Ombre in Fatal is still available locally but I got mine on 19th January at Parkson, Subang Parade and they still had a couple left at that time. Each pot costs RM110 and contains 4g of product.

Do you have fatal attraction to Fatal and how do you like it? What is your favourite cream shadow at the moment?

Lookin kinda bronzey brown there! ^^

I saw this, too and although this is equally beautiful as the other one released together, I did not get this as I was kinda shy to pull off this colour! I don’t mind the shimmer at all, but I feel the colour is….too sexay for me? It’s like I’m out for a dinner or sth…hehehe…

Good choice, and I do regret for not getting this sometimes! Still refraining! LOL

Hi Liyuen, The colour is actually more plum than brown. The lighting was rather warm when I took the photo, so the plum didn’t really show. I don’t think it’s limited to night use only because I wear it to work and it’s pretty office-friendly. It really depends on how much you apply. And it’s really good you have some self-restraint because I obviously don’t. Hehehe…
