Having recovered from a general bout of malaise not too long ago, I am hoping to be back on track with beauty blogging again. Believe it or not, I actually miss writing my usual drivel on all things beauty. One of the products I have been meaning to post about is Origins A Perfect World Hydrating Body Lotion. That’s right, I’m not only batty for coconut scented products, which most of you seem to erm, dislike. But every once a while, I’ll switch back to the Origins body lotion and here’s why.

I have repurchased several tubes over the past eight years or so. This is one of the staple body lotions I would come back to because it actually works. I suffer from body eczema and have two psoriasis patches on my legs, so my skin tends to be sensitive and can react to many ingredients. But the Origins A Perfect World lotion is one of the few that hydrates and nourishes my skin without causing any adverse reactions.

The lotion may be a wee bit thicker in consistency for a lotion but it’s not greasy and absorbs quickly. It is especially a treat when applied on slightly damp skin and my skin feels so smooth, seriously it’s like silky smooth. It keeps my skin hydrated all day (and night) whilst leaving it soft and supple. The smell is of fresh apricots and cream but it’s not overwhelming and I find it to be rather soothing. After using a bunch of heady coconut and honey scented body products, it is a refreshing change to switch to something a gentler.

The Origins A Perfect World Hydrating Body Lotion is sold at our local Origins counters for RM105. When I first started buying this product many years ago, it was around RM80. It is very expensive for 200ml and one tube generally lasts me a couple of months. The expensive price point is one of the main reasons why I don’t purchase it as frequently as I’d like. But I just love how soft and smooth my skin feels after applying it and this is why I go back to it.

Do you use any Origins body creams or lotions? What is your recommendation? I have been thinking about trying the Calm Your Senses range and wonder if they are any good.
