The first time I really took notice of Shiseido Perfect Rouge Lipstick was when Temptalia posted about it in the colour RS320 Fuchsia. I immediately fell in love with how it looked on her and had to get a copy of my own. It seems that this colour is not widely available at our local counters but I managed to snag one from a nearby mall.
I have been very attracted to purple lips lately and can’t seem to get enough of them. I think you can tell by now that I go through phases and it was red that I was crazy about not too long ago.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge in Fuchsia is indeed a fuchsia with some magenta and violet mixed in. To me, it is a very unique shade and something I don’t come across often, especially from Japanese brands as they tend to offer more pinks and beiges in their usual line.

The formula is absolutely gorgeous. It is creamy and moisturising yet very lightweight. It is not a balmy type of lipstick but it offers enough moisture to keep my lips soft throughout the duration of wearing it. The coverage is semi-opaque and it doesn’t drag when applied. I also like the concave pointed tip which fits the contours of my lips perfectly. I honestly think more lipsticks should be made like this!

It is a surprisingly long-wearing lipstick. I had Fuchsia on for 5 hours and even had drinks and snacks in between. The colour remained fresh and vibrant throughout. It only went off after a meal as I had to wipe my mouth but it still retained a bit of colour on my lips.

I’m not sure if you think it’s too bright or pink but I just love how it looks on my lips. It does have a blue base, which is why it can appear a wee bit purple and I think it will suit those with warmer skin tones as well. It is not fragranced so for ladies who are sensitive to scents, Perfect Rouge will be good for you.

Shiseido Perfect Rouge retails at RM95 and yes, it is a very expensive lipstick. However, it is a very well made lipstick so I don’t mind the splurge as much. If you are looking for a high quality lipstick encased in an elegant solid metal tube, I’d really recommend to take a gander at your nearby Shiseido counter. As mentioned at the beginning, RS320 Fuchsia may be difficult to find and is not usually displayed at the counters, but do ask the sales assistant if they have any available.
Have you tried any Perfect Rouge lipsticks before and what is your favourite? Do you like fuchsia or purple lips as much as I do?

Thanks! I am super in love with pinkish purples lately. The formula of this lipstick is really wonderful too.
you look super cute with your new frindge!!! and this bright fushia pink looks GREAT on u!
sadly, i cant wear fushia…looks odd
Thank you! The fringe takes a bit of work because I’ve had it up all this time that it won’t stay down properly. I need to “retrain” it. I thought fuchsia will look good on most skin tones because Temptalia is warm and the lipstick looks nice on her. What’s your colouring / foundation shade? Perhaps a warmer magenta or violet will suit you better?
haha, i could tell that u pin it up! XD but the little strains that fall out at the side still look good =)
well, somehow i look as if i have a HUGE mouth if i wear fuchsia/ hot pink. i have quite a full lower lip and a rather pigmented lips. i feel that it magnifies my lips just a bit too much.
i am a lunasol OC03, something close to nc25? violet makes me gothic XD
right now i only stick to sheer rosy or nude.
Actually when I took the photos, the fringe wasn’t pinned up! That’s why I mentioned the need to retrain the stupid thing
Hehehe… It’s a shame you can’t wear purple undertones but the Shiseido Perfect Rouge comes in plenty of roses and nudes. I am so impressed with the formula and have already gone back for a couple more since posting.
