I like having days off during weekdays, especially when it's a public holiday. But le hubby and I usually have some form of errand to run during such days and this means going out under the hot mid-day sun. Knowing that I'll be out and about in the terrible heat, I decided to go for a minimal makeup look that is less prone to meltdown.
Since getting the Shu Uemura mousse base in BB Beige (limited edition shade), I have only used it a total of 2 times. That was because I was using my fingers to apply and it went on really heavy and streaky. I could never get it to blend out properly.
Today, I decided to whip out my trusty Beauty Blender sponge and the mousse went on like a dream. Just ignore the slightly discoloured bottom as I had not washed the sponge at the time the photo was taken.

I barely use it nowadays! I bought the normal beige one since I don't need coverage but I find it a bit on the dry side. Nonetheless, application with palm is a breeze
And the beauty blender! I should just stay happy with all my brushes!
I need to get the beauty blender! Sometimes my foundation goes on too thick, ick =[Love how you lined your eyes, it's very precise and neat ^^
poseylass: I have the normal one in Pink and find that it applies easier than BB Beige. The consistency of the regular bases are slightly different. They are all a wee bit drying so I always slap on more moisturiser before using them.Blair: Thanks for the compliment. I am so bad at applying eyeliners it's no joke. But the MAC brush makes it a lot easier. The beauty blender is really fantastic! I've tried "bouncing" a regular makeup sponge but the effect is not the same.
It looks beautiful on you, the eyeliner and the mousse!
Rainy Days: Thank you, sweetie! I think my camera flash helps "diffuse" my skin as well but the BB Beige is not too bad. I'm glad I don't have to give it away
